The Furniture Division maximises purchasing capability to offer members quality merchandise at competitive prices. International and local merchandise shows are attended annually by senior staff and members. Competitor activity is closely monitored through an established information network, and every effort is made to ensure we retain a competitive advantage in today’s market.

Importing

The Group import furniture in their own right. Containers of product are regularly bought into Australia from overseas and warehoused in Brisbane and Melbourne. The discounts achieved from purchasing product in this manner are passed onto members. This system also means members have access to stock on a 24 hour turnaround. Online ordering for lines we warehouse and live stock status access over the internet, 24 hours a day.

Supplier Imports

The Group and its key importers also work closely to bring Members the very best in imported product. Various suppliers import product exclusively for the Group.

Bulk Buys

Bulk buys provide real savings on everyday products. Homemakers run many bulk buys through the Group to the advantage of members. The savings gained are passed on to stores by way of lower buying prices.

Suppliers

Homemakers furniture endeavours to establish trading arrangements with, and give members access to, all leading suppliers. Many of these suppliers product ranges are not available to an individual stand alone store. Homemakers have strategic alliances with a range of ‘Preferred Suppliers’ which provide exclusive products to the Group.
