Homemakers have been involved in furniture, bedding and floor covering retailing for over 30 years. Established in 1972, the Group has grown to become one of the largest of its kind in Australia. Representing more than 120 independent retailers, Homemakers stores are located in almost every state of Australia.
With major business partners including world market leaders Sealy, Godfrey Hirst and Feltex Carpets, Homemakers is ideally positioned to successfully meet the challenges posed by retail’s future.
Homemakers Australia Pty Ltd brings together Homemakers North and Homemakers South under the one umbrella producing a truly national company. This alliance provides the opportunity for members of Homemakers to benefit from the combined market strength and bulk buying power of over 120 retail stores. Homemakers Australia exists to increase the effectiveness of its members in their market place by enabling them access to the product of national suppliers to the Group.
Owned entirely by its members, all of whom are independent owner operators, Homemakers is a public company. Collective members are able to enjoy a professional standard of administration services, marketing, buying and training that would otherwise be cost prohibitive.
The Group is run on ‘non profit’ principals. Any profits are injected back into the Group to improve services and marketing opportunities to the benefit of all members.
We believe, through concentrating on providing professional services and support for the Group's members, and the Group’s involvement in Homemakers Australia, we provide the tools to concentrate on the growth and success of your business.
